August 20, 20205 yr I have checked the "auto rudder assist during take off" because otherwise my AC became a sidewinder during ground roll..... I have a Mad Catz Fly 5 stick and I think I have assigned all axis correct and also set the sensistives for the axis down to about -75 to -90 something. The problem is when I fly GA AC the AC moves/jumps around alot (just like in moderate to severe turbulence) in the air both pitch nose up/down and also rolls left/right so there is absolutely no smooth ride at all :( I do not understand why the AC is behaving like this in the air? I use the Legacy Flight Model so that I can reduce (actually set to zero/null) the P- & Torque influences on the AC. Live Weather is not working for me but I saw on the PFD that the wind direction (mostly) and wind speed changed during my circuits around the field and if this could have something to do with how the AC is behaving? Another story is the elevator TRIM and I have assigned it to two buttons on my stick (Elevator Trim DOWN & Elevator Trim UP). I am used that a short push at the button will move the trim a little bit depending how long you hold the button and that operation is normally smooth. In this case a short push only gives me a "small notch" of trim movement and if I push it longer it will give you a short paus and the start moving very slowly. The outcome is that is very difficult to trim the AC correct because of the rquested trim effect comes to long after pushing the button. In FSX there was an option to set how fast/slow a button push should be repetetive (not sure if that is the correct wording) and this gave a very smooth and effective trim function.
