October 29, 200619 yr Of course I got a late start. :-lolI'm having all the problems adjusting the huge sim to work on my current inadequate system as is everybody else but I'm getting there. :)But this post is about an actual bug.One of my favorite towns to fly into and out of is Port Angeles, Washington. Truth be known if I won the lottery I'd live there... love the place! But FSX doesn't. It wont let me set my flight to there.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/159979.jpgIn this example the airports shown are the ones associated with Port Orchard. It will always show the airports for the last city I was looking at. It never shows the airports for Port Angeles. I can take off from another city and fly to Port Angeles. Last night I flew from Diamond Point near Sequim and landed at CGAS Port Angeles. Is there a way to fix the airport database?FSX isn't quite the end all sim I was hoping for based on the demo... at least not at these settings. Hopefully by the time I save enough pennies for a new system it will all work out. Some early observations:The Narrows Bridge seems to be in the right place... that is an improvement over FS04.The Grand Coulee Dam is in the right place and the model for it is by far the best yet... a good one! :) But... it is still just plunked onto the scenery and not worked into it. I hope my FS04 scenery to fix this will work in FSX... haven't got that far yet. Here in Denver Coors Field seems to be in the right part of downtown Denver and not way North in unincorporated Adams County like it was in FS04.Look I'm not trying to be negative here. FS04 is running great on this system and as of this moment it presents a better representation of reality but FSX is the future of this obsession and it is where I'll be spending my sim time or at least the bulk of it from here on out.One more thing... I LOVE THE MISSIONS! (Give me more please. :-lol)
October 29, 200619 yr Author First I thought I didn't understand what you mean, but now I think I do...That bug seems to affect other "Port ..." cities too. Once Port Angeles is set just place your cursor in the "By city:" list box and scroll up or down - in the 'up' direction the Search Results would not change until I reach Porrentruy, in the 'down' direction Port Hope will be the first one to achieve a change in the results. So I'd just go ahead and use the "By city:" field in the top right hand corner to get a list of Port Angeles airports... :)Cheers,Etienne
