August 26, 20205 yr During an approx one hour+ flight yesterday I had to refuel to be able to reach my destination.....??! I started with 50% fuel onboard and the DA-40 is extremely "non-thirsty" using diesel or JET A-1 so I do not understand why the consumption is so high? The weather was the std Live weather with like 270/03 so no problem there either. When flying this aircraft you use the Load setting to set your power and the prop pitch changes automatically (and the RPM) but in this case I need to reduce Load to about 35-40% before the prop RPM is starting to decrease at all....
