It has a few quirks.Do any of you have any of these 'problems':press and hold 'CLR' does not return to main nav page.mouse wheel works for selecting pages in a group, but not for selecting the main group pages(NAV, wypt, nrst)keyboard entry always enters 2letters at a time.I guess it will just take some time to get used to but I wish itwould work as well as the default FS GPS.ON another note: FSX is really nice. I most like the way that youcan see clearly for very long distances (with anisotropic filtering on).I get acceptable framerates most of the time. Cities (like NY) reallytax the system but thats to be expected. Night time looks great aroundBaltimore. One of my favorite approaches is Martin State (KMTN) comingin over the water. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. The FMS has four clickspots, two at the top ('-' left and '+' right) for the outerknob and two at the bottom ('-' left and '+' right) for the innerknob. Maybe you have to position your mouse a bit higher in order to turn the outerknob? There is also a clickspot at the middle bottom, to enable/disable the cursor.>keyboard entry always enters 2letters at a time.Not here. Works perfectly...
October 31, 200619 yr Author Hi J van E -thanks for the reply.I was playing around with the G1000 and my system locked up. I had toreboot.Its curious that your keyboard entry works fine. What I need to understand(and if anyone can help me with this then please do) - why do the otherGPS units work exactly as they did in FS9 but the G1000 has 'problems'.If it was my keyboard driver or something like that then it should affect both GPS units and not just the G1000.And my system locked when I was just trying to change pages. Thoseclick spots are really close together.Is there a .dll that contains the code for the G1000? maybe ACES willsee this and take note of (and hopefully fix) the bugs.
