In Flight loading when launching

Featured Replies

When I launch FXS, it loads right into flying, I just hit Esc, and end flight and it takes me into FSX. (it loads the default settings when it loads in flight).Anyway I can have it "NOT" load right into a mission, and can I have my fav location and craft loaded in without having to choose each time.I saw an area in the CFG file, was wondering if I can edit that area? (see attachment)Anything else I can edit in the CFG file, or other CFG files?Note: Ive added the lines and such for the tweaks that was posted about the CFG file for better framerates, with great results might I add....:)

Hi Michael, you got real close in your picture...just a few lines above the circled area see:SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0This is what is telling FSX to run a default flight without stopping in the settings menu. You can set the opening_screen to 1 OR go into general settings and change the setting there. Either way, the result is the same.If you want to choose a flight before any flying you need the 'opening screen'. You can have only one default flight and you can change it at any time in the Load Flight dialog screen. With flights listed, select the one you want and check the "make this the default flight" checkbox. You DO NOT have to actually load or fly the flight at all. You can also make a flight the default as you save it the first time.Hope this helpsLoyd
