Update P3D V4.5 to a newer version

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have P3D version 4.5 installed, specifically version 4.5.12.30293. I have seen that on the P3D website I have the option to download an updated version, specifically version 4.5.14.34698.

I would like to know if:
a) Is it worth installing this new update?

b) Can P3D be updated without having to uninstall the old version together with all installed addons?

Thanks in advance

As Ramon suggests, uninstall v4.4 client and then reinstall v4.5 client should work fine, and only takes 10 minutes.

As for if it's worth it - v4.5 was a little better than v4.4, but they were both good, stable versions of the sim. Of course, I'd personally go for a v5 upgrade, but there are plenty who are still happy with v4.x. As for v3 - you'd need to have a very specific reason (compatibility) to use a 32-bit sim in 2020! I do still keep it installed, though - also for old addon compatibility reasons - but the difference between v3 and v5HF2 is pretty impressive.
