Can someone explain the TBM exterior lighting to me?

Hello,

As the title says... If my observation is right, the TBM does not have a beacon in a traditional way. When i use the Autochecklist to power everything up there are Red lights flashing on the wingtips which are replaced by the strobes when they get switched on.

Do these red "beacons" have an own switch? Are they operated automatically? I just landed at night and after i turned off the strobes i had no beacon flashing. Only Navlights and Taxi lights.

How to i operate those beacon? I haven't found a switch for them. I learned to taxi with the beacons on and only use strobes while crossing/lining up a runway. But i am also tought i need a working beacon in order to perform a safe flight.

Can someone with more knowledge enlighten me here?
