September 9, 20205 yr About every 7th to 10th IFR flight with the A320 flying high altitude airways between common large airports points in the western US, I find myself taxiing as instructed to the tower's selection of take-off runway. Then about mid to near end of the taxi to hold short, suddenly the blue taxi arrows disappear and I can no longer contact tower to get take-off clearance. Clearance has disappeared. In fact I have to hold short and go through the entire IFR clearance process again. ATC tends to be a bit wonky for a bit after take off, but then smooths out without in-air incident as if the original clearance had not dropped. Then when I reach my destination, there is no ground ATC, no taxi avail. no matter how large the airport and no jetway will dock. Is this happening to others?
