September 21, 20205 yr Hi. I'm running Little Navmap on a remote Notebook which has a small 32Gb SSD C Drive with a 1TB HDD. The database is created in the AppData folder within Users but at 1.42Gb it is taking up a lot of room on the SSD. Is it possible to move little_navmap_db to the HDD D drive? Thanks.
September 21, 20205 yr Sounds huge. Normal scenery databases are around 250 MB each. You can try to move little_navmap_db to the other drive and then create a symbolic link to it. Like C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel\little_navmap_db -> D:\little_navmap_db Windows lnk files will not work. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 21, 20205 yr Author Hi Alex. Many thanks for the reply. I have XP11, FSX and MSFS included in the database folder. It is the MSFS file that is the big one - 702Mb. I will try the symbolic as you suggested. Many thanks. Malcolm
September 21, 20205 yr Just noticed this myself. Have to check why this MSFS db is growing that large. Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 21, 20205 yr Author Hi Alex. I created a symbolic link using Mklink as suggested but when I start LittleNavmap it ignores the link and creates a new little_navmap_db folder within Roaming\ABarthel\ and the MSFS details are missing. The ABarthel folder has a link to the 😧 database folder and the newly created database. I presume I'm doing something wrong? Malcolm
September 21, 20205 yr Author Hi Alex. Please ignore the last message. I created a symbolic link using New-Item -ItemType SymbolicLink from the PowerShell instead and that works fine. Many thanks for your help. Great program. Malcolm
