September 23, 20205 yr Hello, I am after some advice/information in terms of how this software pools/populates where to look for aircraft.cfg files especially with Add ons external to the sim. Im struggling to determine what constitutes a valid addon to be able to recieve this software treatment. Prepar3d V4 is installed in "D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4" (Location A) and my external Add-ons are installed in "D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons" (Location B). Now for the tricky part- Add-ons installed to "A" are treated as expected (no issue) Add-ons installed to "B" are selectively treated (issue) Add-ons that are treated, A2A P-40, Aerosoft F-14, SWS F-4B Add-ons that are not treated vary from auto installed to manual installed add-ons Add-ons installed to "B" that are treated dont have a consistency to how they are stuctured, IE SimObjects is in a subfolder (add-ons\folder\subfolder\simobjects) or not (add-ons\folder\simobjects). Add-ons installed to "B" that are not treated also have various structures.
September 23, 20205 yr Author Further investigation determins that the 3x above add-ons are added into the add-ons.cfg, where as the rest are done via Auto Discovery...
September 23, 20205 yr Author Setting up an discovery path as below, to Location "B" and moving all the add-on.xml's to their relevant folders in location "B" has allowed the treating to take place. [DiscoveryPath.X] PATH=D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\ TITLE=Add-On Libraries ACTIVE=true REQUIRED=false
