Cockpit camera outside airplane

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have used this page to move my camera so that I do not see the aircraft !
Steam version, camera.cfg files are in "Your path:\Official\Steam\ folder.

I first did a copy of my da62 camera config file (in asobo-aircraft-da62\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_DA62 folder)

I did some tests, changed the cockpit quickview 1 preset :

[CAMERADEFINITION.10]
Title ="QuickView_L2"

.....
My settings are :
InitialXyz = -0.07, 3.32, 0.5 (y=3.32 to move camera outside)
InitialPbh = -15, 0, -0 (front view, x=-15°toward ground)

I use the autopilot to move from one waypoint to another one.
I use 3 cameras: showcase number 4 (below the plane) - Quickview 1 (see above) - external from front of the plane.
And from time to time, left or right views, but changing frequently is tiring for eyes !

It is really pleasant for me to be able to hide the plane and have a full landscape view !
Thank you to RexShockVIPER

I have modified the cameras.cfg from the Da62 :

Quickview 1 is definition 10, Ctrl left - left view without plane

Quickview 2 is definition 15, Ctrl down - rear view without plane

Quickview 3 is definition 13, Ctrl right - right view without plane

Quickview 4 is definition 16, Ctrl up - front view without plane

I have reassigned my joystick controller front and back views:

Here is my zip file

Now, I fly with external views, camera below (showcase 4) and cockpit outside plane very easily.
All joystick controlled.

Videos will be much more interesting for people who want to see the landscape.
