An FSX Quickie

Featured Replies

I understand that deleting or renaming the logbook.bin file will remedy the FSX lockup at the splash screen. However, I can't find the file. I've looked in the "My Documents" folder for an FSX folder, but, there isn't one there. Can someone plese give the the exact location of the logbook.bin file assuming a default installation of FSX.Many thanks,JHA

Hi,The file is located by default in X:My DocumentsFlight Simulator X where X is the drive where your My Documents folder is located.Jim Karn

Jim,Thanks for the response, but, there is no such file in my "My Documents" folder. In "Flight Simulator Files" within "My Documents" folder there is the FS9 logbook, but, that's it. Ergo, I still can't get past the splash screen, i.e., the Task Manager is still showing that FSX is "Not Responding." Very frustrating that I can get the program to load, but, can't get it to run. I know FSX loads because I can see it at C:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator X location.Anyway, thanks for your help. Hope that Microsoft comes out with a patch for this logbook bug soon.JHA

Try doing a Search Start>>Search>>All files and foldersSearch for the file logbook.binPerhaps you have multiple user profiles on your computer and you are looking in the wrong users My Documents folder?? Just a thought.
