Why is the ILS inactive?

Featured Replies

In the Mission titled "Rome - Naples Airline Run" I line up on the final approach with the following alive:AP onAutothrottle onFlight Director onNav selected on the left (instead of the choice of GPS)Left knob set to ILSApproach onILS onHowever after several attempts (sometimes with GPS selected instead of Nav)I cannot get the aircraft to line up and land on autopilot.Am I going wrong somewhere please?Cliff

Normally, you need to tune your Nav1 receiver to the correct frequency of the ILS localizer. Should be the same in the mission.

You MUST be right! I'd assumed that the copilot would do the tuning as he had on the flight up to that point. But obviuosly, as you point out, he does no such thing.Please....how/where do I find the ILS information for that runway? Cliff

I don't know if this is the best way, but I use the GPS for that.In the Waypoint (WPT) page, there is a subpage with Airport (APT) frequencies. All available ILS frequencies for the selected airport are listed there.
