lock up setting controls outside view

When I was setting up the reverse buttons for the A320,I was using the external view so that I could see the engine gauges more clearly.

During the various attempts to configure a joystick button to the sim's reverse throttle actions, the sim locked up. The esc key and the mouse become inoperative.

By switching from full screen to windowed screen by entering alt-enter keys, I am able to "unlock"  the sim and proceed.

This oddity can be replicated and hopefully will hit the bug lists at Asobo.
