[Resolved] Landing lights

Featured Replies

HI, i have the Pro edition installed together with P3D v5.1

What i see is, that the Landinglights are (especialle on the AI aircraft in flight) not realistic

in a greater distance. It looks like that tha airplane is in a "fireball". I turned down the effect size

for the Ldg Taxi lights to -50%, but still it`s starting this appearence. So, i just stay on a taxiway and watch

the AI planes approaching the RWY (on final), so they are about 5 to 10 nm out and beeing in a fireball.

Coming closer it is getting better and better until i see all landing light seperately. (maybe 1 or 2 miles out).

Is there any way to correct this ?

p.s. the same on departure: after a certain distance, the plane looks like beeing in a fireball

pps.: when AI airplanes are taxiing, the taxilight looks perfect

@P906

Be sure to use the FSReborn scaling techniques as otherwise what you are experiencing is P3D way of scaling lights which is not accurate. Example of my configuration below:

P3D by default scales lights very wrong.. so you need to switch to AILRP logic of scaling to correct it.

This is how it looks in mine with EA enabled and the settings explained above, note I increased my landing lights size to +50% :

Hi, i have the Pro version, using P3D v5.1

What i see now is, that the LDG/Taxi lights are too bright ("big"). It looks like the aircraft is "in a fireball"....

This occurs, when the aircraft is about 1 to 2 miles out (departing -- arriving). If the aircraft comes closer, i can see

that the fireball reduces more and more and the details apprearing like one would expect.

I have the Landing/taxilight brightness reduced to 50% (more reducing not possible), but that does not help.

Is there a way, what i can try, maybe in P3D ?

I answered above, but I think you keep asking again creating new topics. I have merged them toguether.

Please review my response.
