No aircraft, "flying people" and red ground

Featured Replies

When I start up FSX this is what I see ( attachment).Any ideas why?

Mine does that too but will load the airplane after about 3 seconds. What are your system specs?System Specs:P4 3.0SB LiveATI Radeon X800 GTO (256)1 Gig DDR RAM

Very similiar. P4 3.0 Dual core ATI Radeon X1600, latest drivers 1 Gig Ram also. Could it be that the drive needs to be defragmented??Jerry

It never hurts to defrag. Does the plane image ever load? Or does it stay that way?System Specs:P4 3.0SB LiveATI Radeon X800 GTO (256)1 Gig DDR RAM

Was the Jetpack added to FSX maybe?

You guys have shader problems. Did you do any shader tweaks? I know my ATI x1800xl will blink like that sometimes but only for a secound.Could be drivers also,

HI there,Can you tell me/us what the shader tweaks are?I have an ATi RX800 TD256E

Stays that way

NO.

I get that too except the only thing I see is the tail wheel.

How do you adjust shaders??? I've downloaded the laest drivers from ATI.

Check your display cfg file in FSX; ATI Radeon Win2k/XP;----------------------------------------------------------------------[ati2dvag.dll]Disable=1PanelAsTexture=0AntiAlias=0[ati2dvag.dll.1]MinDriverRev=5.13.01.3102Disable=2[ati2dvag.dll.2]MinDriverRev=6.14.0001.6307PanelAsTexture=2AntiAlias=2------------------------------------------------You should have something that looks like this. Is there any thing listed under it like this?Shader20Plus=UseShaders=If so what numbers are the = ?

Where is that in the FSX folder?

Its in your main FSX folder.

I think it's slow loading due to memory deficits, either video memory, RAM, or both. I just skip that opening screen entirely, since what I really want is to get my default flight loaded anyway.
