Probably Chaseplane Crashes P3DV5 HF1

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As the title suggests, probably Chaseplane crashes P3Dv5 in my system. Here is the Event Viewer log:

Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 5.1.12.26829, time stamp: 0x5fb44f72
Faulting module name: g2d.dll, version: 5.1.12.26829, time stamp: 0x5fb44ef5
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000007638c9
Faulting process id: 0xe10
Faulting application start time: 0x01d6d0d475c38dc8
Faulting application path: C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\g2d.dll
Report Id: 697d9614-912b-4bc8-b1d4-9c3df3b04087
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

You see the crashing module is g2d.dll. A quick google search reveals it is a memory access related problem caused probably by an add-on. In my system that add-on is very likely Chaseplane, since I get the crashes only when I use Chaseplane. If I dont use it no crashes. Chaseplane version is 1.2.49 and Release Candidate Versions is off. Windows 10 version 20h2 build 19042.685

Thanks.
