I realize you can set a departure location/airport...is there way to refine and set departure runway?

You can set a runway start position instead of a parking spot. Or use a departure procedure.

OK...but how do you go about 'selecting' the departure runway?

I've tried right clicking etc...and there doesn't seem to be a mechanic for it.

menu -> Flight Plan -> Select Start Position for Departure
This also lists the runways.

There are no click spots on the runway ends (yet).
