Aircraft refelction

It appears that I have lost aircraft reflections for some unknown reason. Using P3Dv4.5 HF3 and Aerosoft DC8-50. With vehicle reflection turned on, the aircraft (esp the Iberia livery) had a nice and shiny metallic look. Now the plane has a dull, matt look. Turning vehicle reflection on and off in the graphics-world section shows no difference. I am not using any shader program. Any ideas would be appreciated.
