"AUTO PILOT NOT WORKING"

"I AM SORRY BUT I HAVE POSTED THIS ON OTHER FORUMS BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE A POSITIVE RESPONCE AND THE BEST WAY IS TO GET IT OUT THERE"Hi Guys,I was wondering if any one is having problems with the Project Opensky "Boeing 747-400 Version 3 - gMax " ??I downloaded one of these versions in Qantas Livery and installed it into my FSX system making sure that I changed the panel to the FSX 747 default one and also the Sound File to the default 747 sound file.Well all went very well the A/C came up in the 747 window in the A/C select panel of my FSX system and loaded up fine..Panel OK, Sound OK,Texture Perfect.OK I thought lets do a Shake-Down Flight(Which was a circuit of YPPH, T/O SID from Rwy 3 & ILS STAR onto Rwy 3, This is what I use as a test flight )The Taxi out to rwy3 was faultless as was the T/O,However when I got the A/C cleaned up and engaged the Auto Pilot nothing worked Auto pilot wise ! ATC directed me to maintain 4000 feet and turn on to heading 115...I set the Alt and adjusted the Heading Bug to 115 deg...NOTHING the A/C kept on flying on the rwy heading (none of the buttons on the Auto Pilot worked ??The only way I was able to control the A/C was manually (with the autopilot disengaged)I have emailed P.Opensky but have had no reply to this problem,Yet they recon that their A/C are FSX Compatible...Any one out there got any thoughts or have also had this problem.and managed to solve it ?Thanking you all in anticipation.Cheers from Sunny AustraliaCapt DaveCathay Pacific (Retired )AMD Athlon 64 FX-57, 2883 MHz (14 x 206)Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe 4 DDR DIMM,2048 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)WinFast PX7800 GTX TDH (256 MB)Full Go-Flight System HardwareWindows XP Deluxe

I have had autopilot problems with Opensky CRJ200. Open the AIRCRAFT.CFG file and find the {autopilot} section. Compare this to the stock FSX 747 aircraft config and adjust accordingly. It seems the recent Opensky releases are based on FS9 config files. You may find other problems, such as the Jetways don't work. If so, you may need to adjust other sections of the config variables as well.Rich

Hi Rich,Thankyou for your help my friend I did as you suggested and the Autopilot now works fine,,,many thanks.Have a Nice DayC.D
