Flight plan cancelled ..again

I thought it was a one off fluke. A320 NEO I give operating the radio to the first officer and about 20 miles from the arrival airport he announces to ATC "flight plan cancelled " why would he want do that ?? anyway it has happened twice again. This is not every flight so I know it can be completed successfully, but before I can correct this myself I have been caste adrift by ATC. and there is no option to re-engage the original flight plan, has anybody else had this or is it something I must have done. Tis a mystery 🙄

In future I am going to have to operate the radio myself, bit of a fag to that really.
