Unable to see my aircraft in XP11.5, LNM 2.6.6

Featured Replies

Hi guys' must be missing something here.

I am running LittleNavMap v2.6.6on a 2020 Imac with 32 Gb memory. XP and LNM is running off an SSD.

Just upgraded to V2.6.6 where it was running perfectly using an older version.

Got it running, along with little Nav connect (shows 'server running' and  "connected to simulator'), but I cannot see my aircraft, any ideas please?

Thanks

Eric

Do you use a network connection? I'm asking because you mention Navconnect.
Is Xpconnect visible in the X-Plane plugin manager?

See here about network stuff https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/NETWORK.html

and here about the usual macOS installation issues:

Alex - thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Have tried the things you suggested.

Have the following running when XPlane starts up:

Little NavMap 2.6.6 - i can use this fully to plan flights, save etc

Little Navconnect - this shows the following:

[2021-01-07 16:18:09] Little Navconnect

[2021-01-07 16:18:09] Version 2.6.6 (revision e6f5d2e).

[2021-01-07 16:18:09] Data Version 10. Reply Version 5.

[2021-01-07 16:18:09] Connecting to X-Plane using the Little Xpconnect plugin.

[2021-01-07 16:18:09] Starting server. This can take some time ...

[2021-01-07 16:18:10] Server is listening on hostnames erics-imac-2, erics-imac-2, erics-imac-2.local (IP addresses 192.168.0.13, 192.168.0.11, 169.254.197.247) port 8965.

[2021-01-07 16:18:10] Server running.

[2021-01-07 16:18:10] Not connected to the simulator. Waiting ...

[2021-01-07 16:20:30] Connected to simulator.

Little NavMap is showing the same port number as Little NavConnect (8965)

I have carried out a number of re-installs and re-bnoots of the Imac. I have also cleared the quarantine flag as per manual.

I can see little XPconnect 1.0.22  in the plugin admin lists, with a tick showing its active.

The only other plugin I am using is WorldTraffic

I just cannot see my aircraft or follow it in Little NavMap

Any ideas would be gratefully received

Thanks again

Eric

Seems the connection to X-Plane is already working if it says "Connected to simulator".

But I'm still not sure if you run a networked/remote setup where LNM is running on a different computer.

You don't need Navconnect if LNM is running on the flying computer.

Run LNM on the flying computer first and simply connect to X-Plane by selecting Tools -> Flight Simulator Connection . Then choose  X-Plane (Connect directly). Once this is working try the network stuff (if you intend this).
