I'm still flying primarily FS9, but I've been reading this forum with a great deal of interest. I just want to note that it reminds me of the best of what Avsim offers--a community of friends getting together and offering help and "fine tuning" suggestions for our newest member of the MSFS family. Despite what people say, I hear echoes of sims past. "It was written for computers of the future, not today", "With everything maxed, I only get 9 fps". But I also hear those wonderful echoes of the enthusiasts who find ways to improve the sim experience. Tweak a texture here, adjust this setting there. We probably tire of making so many changes to our sim, but once the dust settles (and it will settle) the latest sim, like every one (aside from FS2000) before it will be here to stay. I made my first tweak to FS9 in several years a few weeks ago. That speaks volumes for the insight these forums offer. FS-X will stabilize too, I am sure. No small part owed to the dedicated friends here who help in this forum. Nothing is perfect, but let's celebrate the community that offers help. Sometimes the help works, sometimes it doesn't, but the point is total strangers that we've never met "Face to Face" offer help day in and day out. I love our hobby.Regards,John

I agree with you John, and an excellent post. Thanks for the affirmation of all that the AVSIM staff really do hold close to - community.

Great post. :)
