Keyboard & mouse free!

Recommended Posts

Just finished my first keyboard/mouse free flight.  Been flying the TBM lately (OnAir) and decided to head out in the Mooney this evening.  I've been working on hardware configurations for the various planes.  Most of them so far still have some requirements to use either mouse or keyboard interaction.  Well I can fly the Mooney from startup to shutdown and never have to stray from any hardware device.  I'm pretty excited about this.  The 530 mod took me down the ground on an RNAV approach (after it told me to activate it - oops). I've figured out how to use the Mooney's autopilot with my RSG GFC500 and some information sent to one of my Saitek radio panels (so I know VS and ALT settings).

I know this is probably no big deal to most of you but for someone that despite flight simming for years, this is the first version that I have other hardware to make the experience more fun.  Next stop, the Cessnas. 😉
