February 21, 20215 yr Trying to follow a guide to set up Vjoy and Joystick Gremlin to use my Alpha Yoke switches in MSFS 2020 without the stupid 10 degree heading bug. Got them installed and it seemed to go well until I realized one of them (vjoy I'm guessing?) is blocking windows from seeing my Logitech rudder pedals and Saitek X52 correctly. Joystick Gremlin can see them in it's input monitor, but if I try to look at them in Game Controllers in Windows where you can for instanced set deadzones on the X52 axis' they don't move at all. I don't want to map anything but the Alpha switches with this software setup. I'm not even using the logitech profiler software for either device though they're installed to get the Logitech drivers. I just assign all the axis' and buttons on those two devices in the sim. Anyone know how to fix this conflict? At this point I'm just going to have to rip vjoy and gremlin back out and live with not using my switches I guess. February 21, 20215 yr Author Ok now I'm really torqued off. This was the worst decision ever. Uninstalled both softwares and rebooted and still can't get the X52 and rudder pedals to be recognized properly now by Game Controllers. It sees them but the axis/etc don't move and can't turn the LCD display on the X52 throttle back on. February 21, 20215 yr Author Okay managed to fix this, and also somehow everything is working as well. The previous "last" problem was fixed by removing from devices & settings, unplugging, and reconnecting. Then I thought about something. When I first tried to install Vjoy it hung at the very end and Google search showed suggestions to unplug controllers while installing. So I killed the install, unplugged controllers, and ran the install and it worked. Rebooted, plugged back in, problems happened. Just now I tried again, but unplugged everything first, rebooted. Each controller I plugged in, Windows installed again then asked for a reboot. Afterwards each controller is still working in devices & settings with Vjoy and Gremlin installed. So I guess I'm off to start configuring finally. I can only assume the first hangup with Vjoy maybe corrupted something with the install of the devices or something for Windows.
