Two Product Keys?

Featured Replies

Hi,I just bought a copy of FSX Deluxe from GAME and inside, I found two product keys. One on the case above the DVDs and one on the Quick Reference guide. Both look a little scuffed up and look like they are coming off a bit. Is this how its meant to be or should I return it for a new one?

To be safe I would return it.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Thanks for the reply. I'll either email them or ring them up to enquire about returning as they put a sticker on it (their own store sticker) that says that once you've opened the software, it is non returnable, but I think I will be able to return as it had no shrink-wrap, no Genuine Microsoft seal on the side, and no certificate of authenticity. If they don't accept exchanging it, I'll report them to Microsoft and Trading Standards. But before I do that, can someone confirm whether it is supposed to have something like shrinkwrap, Microsoft seals or COAs.

mine had wrap and seal....i dont remember a cert though

Thanks. I think I might just try it with each key and see if it works. One thing though, does it tell you when a key has been used?

Mine was shrinkwrapped so securely that it took quite an effort to get it open. Then there was a seal with a barcode on the side which prevents you accessing the DVDs without breaking it. Inside a single orange product key was securely stuck on the plastic "Jewel-Case". No Certificate of authenticity.I would strongly suspect that your package had either previously been sold and then returned, or the shop staff used it as a demo. It has probably been activated at least once before you got it.

Thanks for letting me know. I can't really try it out yet as my current PC cannot handle it but I have built a new one but am waiting for some faulty parts to be exchanged. They should be here by Tuesday/Wednesday next week so i'll try it out then. If the keys don't work, i'll contact GAME. If it is a returned copy, I don't really mind, as long as it works, but its wrong for them to sell a second-hand copy for the full price, and without telling me.
