Freeze, black screen in HMD, Sound off and on

Featured Replies

Hi everyone; I was finally able to afford and purchase my G2 headset. I got DCS to work fine. My problem, now, is MSFS.  Here is my procedure: I turn on the computer with the G2 USB plugged in (I bought a Rosewill PCI, USB type C Express Card--which doesn't work; I can not find the right driver so I use the upfront USB with the Reverb provided type C adaptor). When loaded, I start MSFS and subsequently start a flight with airport location and Gate.  I then go to the VR menu and click VR. First, this beautiful picture of the cockpit comes on with a popup that says hit space bar to center (something like that). Strangely, I can never get that pop up to go away or center the cockpit--which is already centered. Secondly, the screen freezes, come back on and freezes again, endlessly. While the screen is frozen, the HMD is in black out. Lastly, the sound cuts on and off (I am not using the attached headphones--could never get them to work--I use earbuds. I have no idea of what  to do, and I am hoping that the problems lies within my graphic settings.  Please help and thanks in advance--I want to fly so badly.  Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT 12 core processor, AMD X570 UD motherboard, 32 GB of ram, GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, and Windows 10.

First, did you assign a key to "recenter" in MSFS? That is required and not there as default.

The black screen/sound cuts out might be fixed by the latest firmware release for the G2.
