Is it the other people or is it just me. I seem to get alot of garbled comunications? And is there a way to only speak to the other pilot in a shared aircraft? Thanks

Yes indeed. Their first real kick at the multiplayer can, so bugs are to be expected I think. You should be able to speak to your copilot in a shared session without having to press anything. Just talk, the shared aircraft seats have a persistent voice comm connection, no keys needed. I find lowering all my sounds in the game, helps loads with the number of "Say Again"s etc. Had quite a few very interesting sessions doing that though. As for garbled comms, as it stands, its safe to expect that whenever someone joins the game. They have to download the current weather states for the session, and that synchronization sequence almost always causes garbling for everyone in the session.A myriad of other things can affect it though, and heavy autogen use can cause your transmissions to be quite stuttery, even on a core2duo.I was rather hoping they would choose to use an in house hosting system instead of gamespy, but oh well. Generally if you're looking for the best possible comms, pick a server with a very low ping time for both you and the person you intend to fly with, and one that has reasonable player limits, 8-20 for example. Alternatively get into starting your own server and set low player limits.Good luck to you.

<>GameSpy only provides the matchmaking portion of Multiplayer, once you pick a game and join it, you are talking directly to FSX on the hosts computer (ie the host is the game server).Another option is to use a seperate headset for just comms and have the rest of FSX's sounds go through your desktop speakers (or equiv). A USB based headset works well for this (and is easy to install - getting the setup in the Windows XP Audio Control Panel Applet can take a couple of tries to get it to take some times, but once that dialog is configured directly FSX will just work with it). And these headsets are handy for VoIP based communication programs :->
