Oculus Quest 2 - Screen Tearing with cable

Featured Replies

Hi there, just got FS2020 setup with Quest 2 and wow is it stunning.

I had setup using WiFi and remote desktop (Steam VR) at first and worked pretty well but FPS down to under 20 on occasions.

Got a cable and using through Steam VR again and the sharpness in pucture is so much better. Had to change some settings to get rid of stuttering and all seems to be looking very nice indeed.

Only issue I get now is if I move my head in the cockpit I get what looks like screen tear. The edges of wing and cockpit windows  gets really jaggy for a second. Everything else looks fine. Never got this using WiFi.

I have tried changing Vertical Sync in nVidia Control Panel.

Specs of PC are i5, 16GB RAM and 2080 RTX

Any ideas?

Thanks for reading

Tommy.

Try playing around with some of the oculus settings.  I've found setting the bit rate, render res and/or hz can cause issues.  Another thing is ASW, try different setting using the OTT.  Maybe try lowering the in sim render resolution and see if that helps.
