Need advice for Keybinding the TBM AP

Featured Replies

Hello,

Got a little issue with binding the right key to disconnect the AP in the TBM using the "AP/Trim disconnect" button. With the latest version of the magnificent WT G3000 you have to use the mentioned button on the Yoke to disconnect the AP (Or the button on the panel) but it seems i can't find the right function in the keybinding list. Have tried all options like AP Master, toggle AP Master, Set AP off and so on, but all of them led to the AP flashing red instead of yellow on the PFD.

Am i missing something here?

Best regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

I have the exact same problem. Rather annoying. There is one workaround with Mobiflight and FSUIPC. The removal of the FMA is triggered by the event: Generic_Autopilot_Disc.

If you're familiar with Mobiflight, you can add this to the events.txt from Mobiflight, and then add it to FSUIPC's events list. This way you can assign a hardware button to this event through FSUIPC.
It only removes the FMS indication, so i programmed one button on my yoke to autopilot_off on press and Generic_Autopilot_Disc on release.

Hope this makes sense,

BTW: there is a tutorial video about how to handle and add these events on the Youtube channel of Mobiflight.

Kind Regards,
André
