April 10, 20215 yr I would like to know if you will be adding the Aircraft Carrier ICAO the Little NavMap: thanks rcla396

For example - under X-Plane 11 exist generated carriers, frigates, ..etc ships and yes, there are displayed under LNM 🙂 Edited April 10, 20215 yr by ppgas Never give up ... - here are details of the whip-round: https://zrzutka.pl/en/pewr2d -> to help my younger son fights against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (blood cancer).
April 11, 20215 yr Author here is the link for the Carrier: https://www.justflight.com/product/hard-deck-simulations-aircraft-carrier-module then you can see what I am talking about

So, it's a product for MS FS2020. Look at the newest LNM manual, section 66.3.2: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/APPENDIX.html#problems-msfs IMHO it's rather impossible at this moment. Regards, Piotr BTW - in general ICAO acronyme means International Civil Aviation Organisation 🙂 From add-on description it seems there are the ICAO designators/callsigns used for 5 different positions of aircraft carrier: CAR1, ..., CAR4, and CARR. April 11, 20215 yr Author Sorry about that I don't know the correct terminology. Yes that is what I would like to see and be able to make a flight plan too.

IMHO the simplest method is manual checking whether it's possible, It's necessary to reload all sceneries from simulator into LNM, shortcut <ctrl><shift><L> - also set checkbox "Read inactive or disabled ..." to be sure all sceneries were read. If aircraft carriers would be visible under LNM, it's exactly what you want to get 🙂 If carriers wouldn't be visible under LNM, it means it's impossible now -> see LNM manual/section about MSFS problems. I you are willing to look into it and you think their is something you might be able to do I would be willing to purchase the program if that would help.

I haven't got MSFS2020 simulator, what's more haven't even got MS Windows (I'm Linux Fedora user 🙂 and use X-Plane 11 simulator ), so sorry but I'm not able to check is it possible. April 12, 20215 yr LNM will display this like normal boat traffic *if* this injected like normal AI and *if* MSFS supplies the positions to LNM across SimConnect. Depends on the tool but I cannot implement special solutions for each add-on, sorry. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
November 8, 20232 yr Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but it what's a search brought up. I have a carrier ops addon for MSFS: MilTech SuperCarier Pro which has static and moving locations for aircraft carriers. The carrier locations do not show up in LittleNavMap. I did some experiments and determined that from a starting scenery database, if I install the addon and reload the scenery, the dialog reports that additional airports and navaids have been found, with increased totals. No errors were reported - just some encrypted airport files, which is normal. I opted to use that database. The carriers are not visible in the application, and if I reopen the Load Scenery dialog, the totals have reverted to the original numbers (which agrees with the sqlite db file). It seems as if there is something in the imported data that causes LNM to reject them as valid airports despite including them in the displayed totals when doing the import. I'm just reporting this in case it is something that you would like to address. LNM is so much an essential part of all my sim flying that its use is automatic. Even though it's not as relevant for carrier ops as it is for terrestrial trips 🙂 I'm happy to provide more information or sample data if needed. Paolo

It all depends if the fixed carriers contain airport structures or not. The moving carriers might show up if they are injected like AI aircraft. At least in FSX ships were no issue. Maybe ask in their forum or support how they do it. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
