May 27, 20215 yr This is something that I've been dealing with from the beginning - I thought I'd see if I was the only one. I don't have any issues receiving the glide slope with any instrumented aircraft, but there has been a consistent inaccuracy when doing a coupled approach. In almost all cases, the AP follows the slope about a dot low. It doesn't matter if it is an ILS or an RNAV w/GS, if I activate the AP for the approach, she's always a little low. This has never kept me from making a safe approach, though it's certainly not what you want when shooting to minimums. As soon as I break out or when I'm about 500 AGL, I've been uncoupling and manually bringing her up to the GS. The Fight Director doesn't work with all AP/Nav systems, so I haven't been able to compare the 2 at the same time. I have noticed that with the g3000 (modded) that it also indicates about a dot below the GS when coupled, but the FD indicates that I'm right on it. Randall Rocke
