Across the Andes

Across the Andes

We begin at Tongoy (SCTG) on the Pacific coast of Chile and proceed north for a quick stop at La Florida (SCSE) before heading east and up into the Andes.   We follow the Rio Equi valley25 miles reaching Huancara (SCVN) near Vicuna.  Heading further into the Andes we will need to climb over rapidly rising terrain or follow route 41 eastward before turning north for our next stop at El Indio Airport (SCVC).  35 miles further to the north and down in the valley is our next stop Tres Quebaradas Airport (SCTQ).  The route proceeds into Argentina with longer legs between landings and finishes at the city of San Miguel de Tucuman (SANT).

Flightplan and Pilots Guide: Here.

Aircraft:

The route is 576 miles and quick high altitude capable aircraft will be preferred.  I will be flying the TBM930 in N4MD livery but as always you are free to fly what you like.
