CTD in VR at Burbank Airport

Featured Replies

After the sim update last week, I started to get consistent crashes to the desktop when flying to or from Burbank (KBUR) airport in VR. I have tried it in non VR and it is not crashing but as soon as I enable VR it crashes. I have not had this issue at any other airport. I am using an Oculus Rift headset. Could someone else try it and see if they see the same behavior? If its repeatable then it may be a sim issue and not an issue with my machine.

So in case any one else runs into this issue in the future with any airport really, I will post my solution. It turns out it wasn't the sim update that caused the problem but the Windows 10 update I did the day before. Apparently the Windows 10 update reset my page file settings. It deselected the checkbox to allow Windows 10 to Automatically manage paging file sizes for all drives. When I enabled this again and restarted my computer, the CTD issue was resolved and a number of the stutters and things I was getting since the update are also resolved.
