June 22, 20214 yr On most flights, I only need about 4 different maps at differing zoom levels… On Taxi Out and Taxi In, I need large zoom in showing the airport and runway/gate maps. On takeoff, I need varying zoom out for certain distance away from departure (SID). Diminishing until Top of Climb. On Cruise portion, I use maps at high zoom out just to follow progress across most of the flight plan. On Descent/Approach, I need to regain zoom in to view approach to STARS, with attention to ILS active runway. Is this how most pilots use the maps and zoom? Pardon me if I get confused what zoom level is high/low or whatnot, but I think you know what I mean as described above. My question for P2ATC: Could the map selection and zoom in/out functions be made hot-key addressable, using Carl/Tab/Shift etc, so that external programs could be written using LUA for example. Of course, native logic within P2ATC is all the more welcome, but I’ll settle for just a way to address the functions programmatically.
