yesterday afternoon after pulling my hair out trying to figure what i actually wanted to put in my new?partial  build  PC  I took a drive to the other side of town (LA) went to malibu visit a friend who happened to be enjoying internet problems but was eventually able to get SU5 up and runing on a server setup with the following specs ,

INTEL GOLD 6346 (we will test the 6348 cpu later this week )

supermicro 4189 sucket MB maxed out at 2TB ram

I took 2 cards with me an older ASUS RX580 8GB and my new 3090

im not the expert on server setups only with 7 years on my belt but my friend its been in the field for alot longer and boy did we had some fun with this . I know this is a expensive setup and sometimes can require alot of work to get it to run certain things it was not mean to do but when you actually get it to run for non server based task its amazing  .

one thing to mention on his normal setup  (I9 9980XE 128 GB RAM 3090 1tb SSD samsung 980 . using track IR after the first fresh install we noticed making sudden fast neck snapping movements could present some weird looks but after 2nd restart those were gone . we also looked for  online saturated airports and noticed that it caused a few pauses . later at night the Internet speeds improved and he was back to normal but again i think its worth mentioning that slow connections can give us a bad experience .

over all this shows that no matter what hardware you are running you will still have some bad hair pulling moments but after many years at this im to the point where im used to this as some of you probably are too .
