fsx+ vatsim +fsinn/fscopilot

Has anyone been successful at using fsx with vatsim?What interface did you use ?I tried setting up and running fscopilot and fsinn , set up a stock fsx aircraft ( airbus) and turned on vatsim wx . I filed a flight plan etc etc....... I called for clearance and lined up. As I was holding short my screen went blank. ( black). I thought it was a ctd but in fact it shut down the entire machine.
