August 5, 20214 yr It seems that with the latest World Update (5), one or more liveries from the famous "MegaPack Liveries" archive is causing FS2020 to get to the "Checking For Updates" screen and then it sits there until you kill the EXE. Is there a way to detect which liveries are at fault? How can I fix a livery which is at fault? Thanks.
August 5, 20214 yr I hate to say it, but so many old liveries are broken now and have to be updated. What I did was remove every old livery, and begin downloading strictly SU5 compatible liveries from https://flightsim.to/ I just pick an aircraft that I want liveries for and sort them by, "last updated". The description panel of every livery now has a green text box that says, "Compatibility with SU5 has been Confirmed", or a red text box if it's not. FYI, each livery also has a small icon in the description panel if that particular livery was part of the mega pack. You can also follow any mod or livery, and then you'll receive a notification when you visit if there have been any updates. Which is beyond handy. But honestly, the SU5 compatible liveries posted there over the last few days have been really high quality. A couple of those guys have been on a roll over there. A bunch of my fav 208 skins got updated, these are all real life paints, https://flightsim.to/file/258/nature-air-cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-livery-pack https://flightsim.to/file/3872/mokulele-big-island-air-cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-livery https://flightsim.to/file/454/factory-demonstartion-cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-livery EDIT: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/wings-are-now-pink-since-su5/429786/12 From the thread listed above, https://flightsim.to/file/18505/texture-update-for-su5-747-787-a320-a32nx I haven't tried any of this, other than the 787 cockpit fix for the fire extinguisher textures. August 5, 20214 yr Author Is there a tool which we can run all our downloaded liveries thru to see if they are broken?
