Wiring for Leo Bodnar Bbi-32 USB interface.

Featured Replies

Newbie here. I got the BBI-32 http://leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=205 board for rotary encoders with  push in wire connectors. Excellent device and  almost instantly   configured with xplane on Linux.

The push in connectors work with bread board wires but dupont male pins are  too short and the plastic blocks full insertion.

Any other wiring alternatives? I have about 50 wires to run so reluctant to use single strands which also forces soldering on the rotary encoders v's dupont wiring to headers on the encoders. Dupont with extra long pins would be ideal.

Check out my flightsim blog Build | uchi's world (wordpress.com) for some wiring ideas. I used the push-in Bodnar's for my controllers.

The wiring was a common ground architecture using CAT5 network cable and hardware for organization.

@yurei. The cat 5 connections is a genius idea, because it also help organize subsets of wiring.  And the solid wire is easier to work with. I also see you used RJ45 connectors so that you can disconnect easily.  I will think about common ground. Thanks for the pictures.

What an awesome project. Mine is far more modest.

Thanks it's going to save me much time!
