September 4, 20214 yr Hi, I am trying to solve an issue with importing flight plans into msfs2020. I create a flight plan in LNM using departure, arrival airports and the standard magenta coloured triangle way points as shown on the map. Save flight plan in LNP and then export as the msfs2020 PLN file. All good shows up on world map identical. Here's where it gets strange. If I create a flight plan with a user waypoint included ( shown as wp1 and wp2 etc and then import that into msfs2020 the world map the creates an unidentifiable way point of the coast of west Africa which i can not fix. I remember once seeing a post where they had the exact same problem but I was not able to find an answer. Would appreciate some guidance as it is really annoying? Thanks in anticipation. PS: can post screen shot if required.
September 4, 20214 yr The point at the west coast of Africa is new to me. These are most likely coordinates 0° East / 0° North. Can you post the exported plan? You can simply insert the contents of the plan file into the forum using the code format (<> in the toolbar). Maybe one of the numerous MSFS issues with flight plan import as described here: Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 14, 20214 yr Author Hi Alex, Sorry that I have not replied quickly. A knee operation got in the way. I have posted the contents of the plan below, I hope this is the way you wanted me to post it. Just to recap the plan has only one user point WP1 which if I remove imports to msfs2020 just fine. Any of my exported plans that contain any wp user points results in This point appearing off African coast. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="1,0"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <FlightPlan.FlightPlan> <Title>YPPF to YREN</Title> <FPType>VFR</FPType> <RouteType>Direct</RouteType> <CruisingAlt>3000</CruisingAlt> <DepartureID>YPPF</DepartureID> <DepartureLLA>S34° 47' 25.42",E138° 38' 1.15",+000049.00</DepartureLLA> <DestinationID>YREN</DestinationID> <DestinationLLA>S34° 11' 47.00",E140° 40' 26.00",+000110.00</DestinationLLA> <Descr>YPPF, YREN</Descr> <DeparturePosition>PARKING 6</DeparturePosition> <DepartureName>Parafield</DepartureName> <DestinationName>Renmark</DestinationName> <AppVersion> <AppVersionMajor>11</AppVersionMajor> <AppVersionBuild>282174</AppVersionBuild> </AppVersion> <ATCWaypoint id="YPPF"> <ATCWaypointType>Airport</ATCWaypointType> <WorldPosition>S34° 47' 53.03",E138° 37' 53.90",+000049.00</WorldPosition> <ICAO> <ICAOIdent>YPPF</ICAOIdent> </ICAO> </ATCWaypoint> <ATCWaypoint id="LUFFY"> <ATCWaypointType>Intersection</ATCWaypointType> <WorldPosition>S34° 41' 39.24",E138° 47' 20.73",+003000.00</WorldPosition> <ICAO> <ICAORegion>YM</ICAORegion> <ICAOIdent>LUFFY</ICAOIdent> <ICAOAirport>YPAD</ICAOAirport> </ICAO> </ATCWaypoint> <ATCWaypoint id="WP1"> <ATCWaypointType>User</ATCWaypointType> <WorldPosition>S34° 28' 49.88",E139° 6' 36.88",+003000.00</WorldPosition> </ATCWaypoint> <ATCWaypoint id="VILAD"> <ATCWaypointType>Intersection</ATCWaypointType> <WorldPosition>S34° 23' 31.72",E139° 20' 59.09",+003000.00</WorldPosition> <ICAO> <ICAORegion>YM</ICAORegion> <ICAOIdent>VILAD</ICAOIdent> </ICAO> </ATCWaypoint> <ATCWaypoint id="YREN"> <ATCWaypointType>Airport</ATCWaypointType> <WorldPosition>S34° 11' 47.00",E140° 40' 26.00",+000110.00</WorldPosition> <ICAO> <ICAOIdent>YREN</ICAOIdent> </ICAO> </ATCWaypoint> </FlightPlan.FlightPlan> </SimBase.Document> Thank you for your help. September 14, 20214 yr Hi Gerry, thank you for the plan. The flight plan looks ok to me. There are no coordinates at 0/0 and LNM loads it ok. Looks like one of the numerous flight plan loading issues of MSFS. 😞 Will try it with MSFS. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
