September 5, 20214 yr Hi! I am a newbe to Little Navmap and am wondering why when choosing departure airport (in FS X and LNM) the aircraft is not displayed despite having followed the installation instructions. I can make flight plans etc but not follow the aircraft progress in LNM. Is this a common problem? Is it related to database issues between LNM and FSX? Any help greatly appreciated.
September 5, 20214 yr Did you connect to the sim? The connection has nothing to do with the scenery library/database. You load the scenery to see the aiports and navaids on the map and you connect to the simulator to get aircraft progress. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 5, 20214 yr Author Hi and thx for your quick response. I have tried connecting Little Navmap to FSX via Tools/Flightsim connection....Connect. The dialogue box on RHS in LNM "SimAircraft" shows text "Not connected to simulator" after trying to connect. I'm running Windows 7 both LNM and FSX are on the same PC.
September 5, 20214 yr FSX is normally no problem. I test this in a Window 10 VM often. No idea about Windows 7, though. Note that you won't see any progress updates until you "sit in the cockpit". Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 5, 20214 yr Author Thx for your reply. Have tried all situations and combinations. Maybe I will have to update to Windows 10. LNM installation seems to be simple enough.
September 5, 20214 yr You can try to remove the SimConnect.dll from the LNM installation folder. LNM tries to use the installed SimConnect from the system. Apart from this I have no idea what's wrong. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
