Post-WU6 - ATC and taxi ribbon weirdness?

Featured Replies

After updating to WU6 and getting all the content, my first flight was out of LSGG, so I could tour Geneva (still has a number of problems, IMO).  I got takeoff clearance but, once I was airborne, the ATC seems to have forgotten about me.  It didn't give me buttons for requesting a touch-and-go or full-stop landing and, after I landed, it didn't give me handoff instructions for ground or any taxi instructions.  I just had to taxi to a regular GA stand and shut down, whereupon the logbook credited me with a flight, but one takeoff and no landing.

I saw another user on a Facebook group complaining that ATC was completely absent for them as well, so I decided to test it out, using my home airport of KRNT.  I got full ATC, flew a circuit, was able to request a landing, got handed off to ground, and given directions to taxi to a parking spot, but no taxi ribbon.  Checked options and found out that WU6 apparently turns that off by default.  Turned it back on, and got the usual ribbon, box, ramp worker, pushback cart (for a C152?), etc.

So, now I was wondering if this was just a problem at LSGG, and so went back there for a second flight.  This time, ATC behaved as usual, until I actually landed.  At the point when I did so, the taxi ribbon immediately turned on, on the runway, the moment after I got the nosewheel down.  That was weird enough, but it had me taxiing halfway down the runway, while ATC was repeatedly telling me to exit the runway when able.  So, I turned off at the next taxiway, ATC handed me off to ground, but then...nothing.  I couldn't request anything from ground, and the taxi ribbon remained on the runway, which I'd already left.  I had to taxi across the apron, parallel to the runway, until I could rejoin the ribbon most of the way across the airport.  Then, when I reached the parking spot, the taxi ribbon came to an end, the cart and flashlight guy were there, but no parking box.  At least this time, when I shut the battery off, I found I'd been given credit for a landing as well as a takeoff.

So, nothing that's a deal-breaker, but still some behavior that suggests they've got some bugs to iron out in this area.  Aside from the other Facebook user, anyone else noticed problems in this area?

Another ATC oddity -- I tried another flight out of LSGG, this time circumnavigating Lake Geneva.  The ATC stayed on properly the whole flight, but, after being transferred to Geneva Approach, the ATC started auto-selecting option 1 for me anytime something was offered, before I could even click on a button.  It was pretty much instantaneous.  Has anyone seen this happening to them?

thats because the ai pilot is doing it. You need to uncheck all the things you dont want the ai pilot to do
