What FSX files should I backup?

Recommended Posts

Long story short, i'm about to install a new SATA drive. All my data is intact on the old drive. What files do I need to backup to retain my awards and completed missions? Is the logbook alone sufficent to insert after the re-install?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you back up your C:Documents and Settingsyour User nameApplication DataMicrosoftFSX Folder, that should do it, the "your User name" part might be administrator or whatever you chose.Once you have this folder backed up, reinstall your OS on the new drive, install FSX, maybe run it once to create the folder again, then replace it with the above mentioned folder, I've done this and it works fine.
