November 3, 20214 yr Not sure where to post this. Could anyone with a Thrustmaster TCA "Captain pack for Airbus" help me out please. I would be really grateful. It was all working no issues, latest firmware, loaded immediately when I first connected, all worked. Sadly, I accidently wiped the assignments for spoiler and flaps (I deleted default by mistake in control options). I cant seem to figure out the bindings. I have all the other switches, power levers fine again. Could anyone with the same hardware look in the control options/assigned and tell me what the bindings are for the spoilers and flaps please. Its driving me nuts, Its so frustrating, I just cant figure it out. I assume the "default" settings/bindings are now part of MSFS program itself, and having "wiped" default, the flaps/spoilers dont work. I can assign them to some degree, but its not correct. Thanks in advance Ian
November 4, 20214 yr Author For anyone that has this problem in the future. If you own the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus throttle quadrant AND the spoilers and Speed brake. If you calibrate your throttle as per the manufacturers instructions, you may lose the speed brake and flap levers (they will no longer work as they should) Thanks to a posting by NEO 4316 in the MSFS Forum in January, I managed to solve this issue. The reason why your spoilers and flaps no longer register the axis is because the throttle takes into account all of the axis’s positions when you calibrate. So if you’re only moving the throttle, and not moving the spoilers and flaps, the throttle will take those static positions as the calibrated positions. So when you calibrate with the addons attached. You have to calibrate the spoilers and the flaps at the same time with the throttles… So: Throttle at TOGA, Spoilers Up, Flaps Up -> Press Red Buttons. Throttle at MCT, Spoilers 1, Flaps 1 -> Press Red Buttons. Throttle at CLB, Spoilers 2, Flaps 2 -> Press Red Buttons. Throttle at IDLE, Spoilers 3, Flaps 3 -> Press Red Buttons. Throttle at full REVERSE, Spoilers Full, Flaps Full -> Press Red Buttons. Once that’s done press the two black buttons to complete the calibration process.
