Add-on aircraft & aircraft textures FSX

Featured Replies

Hi,I just downloaded some add-on textures for the default 737 on FSX. I installed them the same way I used to on FS9 but they don't show up on the menu so I can't load them. Each one has a jpeg thumbnail in the folder but that doesn't show up either. How do we load these new textures? Thanks,David S

Sounds like you did not create entries for each livery in the aircraft.cfg file. You've gotta do that first - have a look at it, it's pretty straight-fwd and self-explaining. If you still need more help, don't hesitate and let us know.Etienne

Yes, I do copy & paste the entries for each aircraft into the .cfg and I number them correctly and even check that the .cfg info is the same as the default but no joy! Is there another step for FSX that we didn't have to do for FS9?David

Etienne,Figured it out. One single bracket was missing after the first aircraft [Flightsim 6] in the .cfg! I can't believe that's all it was. But it prevented all following aircraft from showing up too!! Boy, you've really got to look closely at this stuff! Thanks though and happy flying!!David
