MS FSX problem

Featured Replies

When I fly, the plane keeps jolting around and the game keeps freezing up.When the flight is loading, it normally takes around 5 minutes whereas on MS FS2004 it took about 2 minutes.Another problem is that I think the graphics on my 2004 are better then X.This is really putting me off the game! What should I do about it??Is this normal??thanks for the help!

Do a search on FSX performance using the advanced search option, that'll get you started. In a nut shell, FSX is a system hog and requires top of the line/future hardware and about 2 gigs minimum to run at max potential. The sliders under the display tab allow the user to balance performance to their system. Autogen and traffic are 2 big killers of performance, along with 2.x water and bloom.Fortunately, in about 2-3 weeks, MS is releasing a performance patch to alleviate some bottlenecks and allow for better utilization of multicore processors.Ian.
