P3D "not responding" after multiple "reload user aurcraft"

When I am creating/modifying XML gauges in P3D V5.2 I have a need to frequently reload user aircraft to configure coding. After 10 or so reloads the sim decides to "not respond". I then have to restart P3D and recommence. Is this a memory issue or is there a built-in limit on reloads?
