Eastern Oregon - Small Strips

Eastern Oregon - Small Strips

Our route begins at Seven Devils (ID17) on the Idaho side of the Snake river.  We will land at bush strips and small rural farm strips as we make our way in a clockwise circuit and finish at Joseph State (KJSY).  The final leg will feature a tour in steep canyons and through passes in the Eagle Cap Wilderness (one of Oregon’s most beautiful wilderness areas.)

The route is 216 miles and features small airstrips.  I plan to fly the Cessna Caravan in Highland livery. As always you are free to fly what you like.

Recommend Departure time of 1:00PM local.  If the weather is poor we may choose to fly with high clouds and snow appreciate the rugged terrain in winter.

 Particulars:

  •             Date and time: Wednesday, January 5, 19:00 UTC
  •             Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel
  •             Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com
  •             MFS Multiplayer: US Eastcoast Server

If you want to help others enjoy the multiplayer experience, don't forget to enter your aircraft details on the multiplayer spreadsheet (linked here). Your courtesy will save others a lot of time and effort. Thanks!

This looks to be fun. Note that finding these grass/dirt strips in the snow may prove impossible for those who do not scout and mark the visible markers for each airstrip before flying. Maybe that is the challenge. 😉
