Saitek Multi Panel and lua script

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is it possible write/read data to/from the saitek multi panel using user script. If yes, where could I found the global data (SAITEKMP_VID, MULTI_PANEL_PID).

If there is not  global data from the GUI  for communication with the panel, could I use the com.openhid() and com.writefeature() functions in a user script.

Thank you.

If you examine the lib_saitek.LUA file (in LINDA/libs) you will see how to access the Saitek panels. It was written by someone with a bigger brain than i. It is very complicated as you have to address the need to display different information based on the position of the selector knob. Good luck.

The joystick PID and VID are displayed on the LINDA Setup Joystick page both in the top panel and against each joystick. The first 4 alphanumeric characters are the VID (eg 06A3 for Saitek) and the second 4 are the PID (eg. 0D05). The final number is a unique identifier if there are more than one similar joysticks.
