Anyone using a Rift S with a Ryzen 5600x?

Featured Replies

If so can you let me know what motherboard you’re using?

I was using a Msi Mag Tomahawk B550 and it was giving me a black screen, audio static noise and then crashing.

I tried all the fixes..Bios update, changing pci-e to V.3.0,, internal and external usb add on and trying all the different usb’s.

Nothing worked and the Rift S would disconnect at some time during every flight.

I’m looking to see what B550 boards are working now with the Rift S.

I’ve sent the Msi board back.

I know the Rift S is ok as it will run on a friends A320 board.

cheers.

There are no compatibility issues with mainboards. This must have been  some defect or something else.

There are lots of problems with main boards using Asmedia USB ports.
All over the Oculus and other forums.

Glad to say, I’ve now upgraded to a Z690 board and everything runs nice and smooth now.

Cheers anyway.👍
